Paul C. Ézanne used to hang out at this spot and paint. He was French, but, loved the American wild west and visited often during the 1800s. Paul quit coming to the lake in 1871 after a bunch of escaped convicts called him Frenchy and stole his easel. Paul hated being called Frenchy!
