Little Miss Sunshine

The park was full of bikers today. This white-tail deer doe was having a hard time deciding when to cross the road as bikers kept streaming by. They were part of the Greenwood Village Wild Goose Chase, which winds all around Cherry Creek State Park and the Denver Tech Center.

This goes on every evening. The deer move from the deep forest to another area of the park at sundown every evening. This means crossing the road and encountering humans.

This white-tail deer doe jumps a fence right after dawn.

It was below zero this morning and this was actually a little bit after sunrise, but thick snow clouds blocked the sun until this point, when it started to show through. That's frost and snow on the ground and grass.

These does, along with several more nearby, didn't seem to know what to make of the model airplane buzzing around where they were grazing. There's an RC model airplane field at Cherry Creek State Park. The pilot was taking advantage of the last rays of daylight.
