Here is something I don't do very often... a selfie! I took this on a hike up to an abandoned uranium mine in the Steens Mountain Wilderness. The hike up was pretty much straight up that hill which was covered in crumbly rocks. But the view at the top was worth it. You could see the entire Alvord Desert and Steens Mountain from up there. The hike down was tricky... Back down the crumbly rocks but this time with a swarm of mosquitoes attacking me the whole time. So much for that bug spray - which I through away when I got back.
