5/24/2013 ~ American Basin, near Lake City, Colorado A basin is a high mountain valley, and this one, the American Basin, near Lake City, Colorado is one of the most beautiful. This was taken two years ago but I just processed it last night with Topaz Labs new 'Clarity' program. I'm super impressed with the results! They have the program on sale for $29.99 through the end of May. I think that's half off, but I'm not sure. Thank you all for the nice comments on my Cactus Flower shot yesterday! May 20, 2013 - I like the peering behind the curtains aspect of this lily of the valley shot. Even though I'm a couple years off my official project, I still shoot them when it rains. It's fun and it smells good while I do it. OM 90mm at probably f8.
All that's left of summer.
This little beauty stopped me in my tracks. The curve of the stem and the way those lovely leaves seem to spread like wings, this lady slipper reminds me of a swan. Oh come on, work with me people! OM 90mm at f8.
