Wind Farms Driving south from Refugio to Corpus Christi, we discovered a huge wind farm that spread out for miles with well over 100 wind turbines.
6/11/2013 ~ My What a Big Blade You Have!! Wind Turbine blade being transported, Idaho, near Wyoming border. I love to see wind turbines hard at work on hillsides and plateaus out west. It's fascinating to watch them spinning around, some slow, some fast. But up on their hillsides it's hard to get a perspective of exactly how HUGE these things are. Until you see one being transported on the highway. These things are monstrous. This is one blade. I'd love to see a turbine being assembled in the field. Thank you for the comments on yesterday's Parfait Glasses shot! I should buy stock in Topaz Labs. I'm probably their biggest fan, LOL.
