He died at the age of 20, after being shot in the head while standing outside a store on Christmas Day, 1925.  He was taken to the hospital in Knoxville, where he died three days later.

Stinnett, was Carole's gg grandfather.  Elmina is buried in Stinnett Cemetery in Jones Cove, TN, along with Carole's grandparents and many other family members.
