SmugMug > popular > Journalism > Those of you who read the comments in the DailyPhotos will appreciate this one, but in order to do so, you have to look at the other photo that I also posted today.

I was randomly taking photos of things around Kennywood Park and just wanted to capture some nice shots with my 70-300 of the coasters. As I walked by the wooden coaster, I waited just a minute and snapped about 4 pictures of the train of cars (see other picture). About 30 minutes later, I was walking by the steel coaster, Phantom's Revenge and snapped 2 pictures of it as it went by. We were on our way to see a show so I was hustling along and took the shots and proceeded onto the show.

Later that night when I imported the pictures and was reviewing them I couldn't believe what I saw. I managed to get the same 2 people in the front car on both coasters. I have no idea who they are, but I'm sure they would love to have these pictures if only there was a way to find them.

I bet if I tried to do that with someone I knew it wouldn't have turned out as well. Such is the life of photography, right?

SmugMug > popular > Journalism > A different perspective of one of the falls at the zoo. It is very easy to tell, but I enjoy taking pictures of water. I am not sure why since I am not a fan of swimming. :-)
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 8.8.08 Live from the Pittsburgh Steelers Training camp. A fun picture of the Steelers two great receivers; Ward & Holmes. I adjusted the picture in Lightroom 2.0 to give the image an artistic look. More 'artistic' images are in my sports gallery - artistic.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > Adventure Time; White dress, no problem!

I was the second shooter this past weekend (wedding) and the family was one of the most exciting families ever to photograph. While the bridal party was being photographed, this little "flower girl" decided to adventure off on her own and I happened to turn and capture her on her little adventure.

Also, I entered this in the smugmug contest "Freedom or Oppression" . What do you think?
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 7.13.08 From a youth event I shot over the weekend. The group "The Last Epic" played for the youth. I applied a B&W preset in Lightroom to come up with this effect. The light was very challenging and I timed the shot when the lights passed on the right side of the guitarist to create this dimensional shot.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > I asked this graduate [while at my nephew's graduation ceremony] if I could take his picture. He said "sure"... after I snapped it I told him I would put it on the Internet for all to see. His response; "I'm holding you to it." Thanks for being a 'sport' and here is to wishing you the best in life!
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 8.5.08 Yes, many folks hid under metal steps during the lightning storm. This is the image mentioned in yesterday's post. :-)
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > June 6, 2008. Bella, the little puppy from yesterday's picture. Isn't she cute? Hi! I am a Yorkie Poo.
