SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 9.18.08 This is a black and white version of my post from yesterday. Although the colors in yesterdays post are dramatic, the b&w brings out drama [to me].
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > This is a photo I took when on a business trip to Miami, Florida last year but never posted it to the site. I was on the top floor of a parking garage and notice this great image through a very large opening/window in the concrete.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 9.24.08 This is a different angle of the Santa Maria in Columbus, Ohio. I played in LR and used negative clarity to soften some of the lines.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > 7.15.08 The combination of the strong color in the drums and around the drummer plus the contrasting silhouette from the guitarist presented a great opportunity for a picture.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > While traveling home I noticed the sky changing rapidly. I took this image while leaning against my vehicle handheld (one day I will get a tri-pod :-) ). No sooner did I take two or three shots the color changed to a dull gray. Do you think this is any good to enter in the LPS contest?
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > This was taken hand-held at the Pittsburgh Zoo. I leaned against something solid to reduce the movement on my part. The lines caught my attention immediately. I "played" a little with clarity in Lightroom to bring out the lines within the rocks. I was not able to get too many shots at the zoo due to attempting to protect the camera from the light rain and people.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > I took this along the shores of South Beach in Miami Florida and converted into an antique looking B&W.
SmugMug > popular > Journalism > On the way to the farmers market, I saw this a beautiful glow of light over this field. It was until I began to take the picture that I saw the old barn in the background. This image is three images combined to bring out the color of the sky, the field, and the highlights of the barn. I framed it to portray the look I felt when looking through the car window. I also utilized a polarizer to make the color "pop".
