SmugMug > popular > Other > bbd 06/26/08 hershy wanted a 'happy' pic after yesterdays 'depression' (which was foil tho not b&w just shot with contrast and brightness set very low and less than ambient flash, i wanted it even duller in tone and the darks darker and had tried to create a hint of prison bars with the not quite there vertical lines but ...) so i took advantage of a quick break at work today to snap this. those of you familiar with my dailies will recognize the little boss who was happy to see her friends as she's been having a very tough week. she actually had to go to the e-room sunday for treatment for a severe allergy attack and had to miss swimming lessons all this week as a result. the bbd is not for bigger better deal but for brianna, bogie and dan. dan is a good friend and customer of ours who usually brings bogie for a visit when he comes for lunch. bogie is a delightful and well behaved patterdale terrier and brianna just adores him. bogie is a pro at mooching treats from my boss too

SmugMug > popular > Other > April 5th 2008 ~ Watching a storm brew over the islands and head our way fast was sunny one minute then it was freezing windy and black all in the space of 3 minutes and just as it got dark and windy this couple arrived at the beach to take THE OLDEST most DERELICT looking boat(and believe me it takes a fair bit to be the most derelict around these parts cos I have a hard time telling the boats in use to the ship wrecks sometimes so it was bad) and start preping it up (which means they pushed it into the water and they didn't look like they were particularly sea or boat handy for that matter so what ever they were doing must have been important cos the kind of storm that was coming over was the kind you don't drive in let alone sail it NUT I tells ya NUTS Til tommorrow here are some boats and the storm clouds heading my way I got some pics where they were darker then this but none of them seemed right post nor did the one of the crazy couple and there shipwreck I mean boat ....
