SmugMug > popular > Other > hydrangea, morning glory and (yuck) fly 07/30/08 couldn't remember where i carefully stashed my sensor cleaners so still crudded up alas. this is a different part of the same bush as the past shots. the morning glories are stangling everything this year. http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4753036_v9Lqd#302819331_5qKsL http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4434686_au3Uh/1/303134483_XiLGa#303134483_XiLGa in re the light and composition comments/questions of yesterday: the light was bright but indirect sunlight and then a bit of backlight from a window reflection and everything was natural just as i found it. i upped the contrast and sharpness a nudge when i developed it but it was otherwise out of the camera. the light was more direct tho more diffused today for this one. dropped the contrast a bit so the white was toned down but otherwise as came out of the camera (dust and all sigh). my gas tank is completely dry so i'm off to bed and lookinhg forward to going to work in the morning. have a great day

SmugMug > popular > Other > chestnut treetrunk (detail) 05/06/08 this trunk is approx 4.5 feet in diameter and i'm told by an old-time 'hamster' that its over 80 yrs old. its my second fav tree in town and is just down the block from my place. my fav tree,also a chestnut and reputed to be over 100 yrs, is 3 blocks uphill so you got this one today

SmugMug > popular > Other > 9-28-08 I FINALLY got to go up to Cascade Springs today! I've been wanting to for a long time. Alisha and I decided to take the windy curvy death-traps that are mountain roads and it was SO worth it! The scenery was exquisite, my camera just wouldn't quit. ;-)
SmugMug > popular > Other > 08-08-08 Daily Photo. Day 156. Is this little pier cool or what? I don't want to say where it is exactly since I think it is sort of underground so to speak. I took a bunch of shots of this makeshift pier and birdhouses and either the rocks were visible or the skyline was clear. Couldn't get both.
