SmugMug > popular > Other > 10-02-08: These pinnacles are located just a few miles from Crater Lake in Oregon. A hiking trail leads you along a canyon wall where these very interesting formations are found. They were formed when the volcano erupted and shot gases up through the flowing pumice, which quickly cooled and left pinnacles. I was there in the late afternoon, which didn't offer the best lighting in this canyon area. I think daybreak would be spectacular. The shadows would really be interesting to capture.

SmugMug > popular > Other > 9-3-08 My friend Alisha and I had a "photoday" today. She introduced me to this DARLING little shopping center called Gardner Village. This was taken in one of our favorite little shops, everything was Victorian themed. (I couldn't resist and I bought a new sparklie, by the way, a Cameo brooch. It'll show up in the dailies sometime in future.) A word to LadyKates -- I kept thinking of you in this store, you would have LOOOOOOVED this place!
SmugMug > popular > Other > 14th June 2008 ~ It was Daniels 1st Birthday yesterday BUT he had a playdate/party today he also ate his first piece of watermelon today he was as pleased with that as he was with the whole party he liked it so much he wouldn't give it back when he ran out of the pink stuff and wanted to eat the green as well and there was no convincing him other wise even when I got him another piece he stuill hung on to the old piece for dear life - Well I had to borrow my old camera to take these photos BUT Guess what!?! Betcha Can't ???? My NEW Camera will be back THIS week and I can rejoin the Dailies and return to giving you all a daily caption headache Betcha Can't wait.... Well I know I can't - I might post a few more pics from his party for you all well just as much for me cos I really enjoy the whole DP deal and let me tell you I didn't realise just how much til I was cameraless (thank you Canon- said dripping with sarcasm) and couldn't do it So anyway this week I will be BACK ....YAY 4 ME (insert little victory dance here) anyway since I party photos to post I might be able to get thru til it arrives I know I will try Anyways It is SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD to be back HUGS ((((((())))))

SmugMug > popular > Other > bedraggled but still beautiful 09/04/08 i've never understood many peoples obsession with "perfection", particularly in photography. this is the last of the lilies i shot before http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4753036_v9Lqd#357316893_5AmcE and, while not as stunning, is at least as beautiful and even more interesting to me. had planned to comment and enjoy looking through bunches of pics tonight but... there was a small fire in the apartment immediately adjacent to mine so i spent time outside instead. no one was hurt and other than a bit of smoke, which my air filter machine took care of reather handily, my apartment wasn't affected at all thankfully. anyway...i'm now cold and tired so i'm off to bed again wothout getting to enjoy any of your pics alas. humger makes the best spice they say so i;m looking forward to really enjoying my daily 'banquet' when i get to it
