SmugMug > popular > Other > sparrow on a pretty perch 05/22/08 made it to work today for the first time since last week...YAY! had to come home early cuz ran out of energy but at least i made it for a while. wasn't sure i'd gotten a daily as i left work, tho i'd shot a couple things i hoped would turn out on my way to the bus in the morning. when coming home i almost always pull my camera out before i get off the bus just in case. i was glad i had today as this sparrow was perched so obligingly for a dp immediately across the street from the bus stop
SmugMug > popular > Other > fever mask 05/20/08 not real pleased with this tho its the closest i could come to what i wanted with the energy and equipment available. was hoping to get much more of a 'death mask' effect but wasn't up to the challenge i fear. fevers have always laid me by the heels and i'm known to say "first you feel like you're going to die...then you wish you would". many many thanks for your kind wishes for health. i am getting better and putting this mask out there has helped with the post fever depression. Lord willing this will be the last you hear of this particular bout with a bug

DOD is out of the hospital for which we're grateful but that isn't why i haven't been on. please don't worry about me as its just some health issues that are virtually old hat for me by now. Lord willing i'll be back to shooting and posting now at least though i probably won't be able to catch the days i've missed of all your fine photos. shall be participating to the best of my ability and am really looking forward to seeing what's being shot out there. we were very slow at work so the little boss and i went out for some fun. i'm a little stiff and slow for such but we have a good time anyway. thank you all once again for your kind thoughts, comments and prayers from DOD and i. bless you for it
SmugMug > popular > Other > 6-15-08 My friends and I went hiking up to Stewart Falls today. I'd never been there before, but you know how I love waterfalls! This was my personal favorite shot of the falls themselves (thought not, as a matter of fact, my very favorite shot of the DAY). I just liked the look of the water falling over the tree and the rocks like that. It just looked neat to me.

SmugMug > popular > Other > Monday 14th April 2008 ~ This afternoon we had a storm right on sunset these are the clouds on sunset - just as the moon first became visable just seconds before for the evening - the sky was pink red purple and brilliant orange I got some great pics which I plan on adding a few pics to my home album I will add the link when its done so you can see the amazing beauty I saw this afternoon right from my drive way :) "A Red sky in the morning is a shepherds warning a red sky at night is a shepherds delight" old superstition
SmugMug > popular > Other > little boss and beautiful visitor 07/12/08 (2of2) the little boss was very excited to see this, her first ever large wild butterfly, and kept running to the backdoor every couple minutes to check on it. we all made trips back to see it many times while working the lunch shift. we don't get many like this in the city and really enjoyed our special treat
