SmugMug > popular > Other > dryer vent in a "daylight" basement 08/27/08 this is the view the otherway, shot from the lower stair in my daily - http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4753036_v9Lqd#297432987_Vosdz - you can see that when the building was built they dug into the hill and put a retaining wall (on left) to create a "daylight" basement. the otherside of the building (which i live on) the floor of the basement apartments is groundlevel. the slope of my hill is about 1' - 6', not much fun to haul groceries up but good execise

SmugMug > popular > Other > sun dappled 'jungle' 07/08/08 i know there's a sun glint off the lens but i loved the light glowing along the hollow grass stems and leaves so decided to keep it anyway, just because. it looked like some jungles i've been in, in miniature, so i tried to give the shot that feel. the grass stems were approx 1/16" - 1/4" in diameter. thanks for the comments about 'the lunch box', i thought it was totally cool, the food was really good too. i caught, not all that well alas, another bus i've been trying to capture today for those who like them; the '401 fairhaven' is my 'home' route and usually uses the shorter decorated buses as fairhaven is something of a tourist area, being where the alaska ferry ports. http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4855371_JgWrE#327831179_5ebJS

Since I love water, rocks and reflections.....this one fit the bill. I adjusted the lighting slightly to brighten it up a tad and gave it a frame, but no other PP. The sun reflecting in the water added its own processing.

June 20, 2008: Summer has definitely arrived........113 Degrees today! So, I decided that a photo with water in it was the only way to go.

Since I love water, rocks and reflections.....this one fit the bill. I adjusted the lighting slightly to brighten it up a tad and gave it a frame, but no other PP. The sun reflecting in the water added its own processing.
