SmugMug > popular > Other > strangled iris 05/28/08 i did laundry today and as its 4 flights of stairs each way once i get down i usually stay down until the laundry's done. i took my camera and shot quite a few things in the laundry room i thought i might use for a dp. will probably post something from them but i went outside while the dryers were running and found this shot i liked best for today

SmugMug > popular > Other > DOD and the little boss 08/02/08 this is a 'cheat' because i didn't shoot it. i'm posting it anyway because i like it and i'm 'lawyering' that it was shot with my camera. i was just too tired to shoot much so passed the camera on. DOD packed a big oxygen tank in the car and made it out to dinner HURRAY! aas you can guess he's much improved, docs don't like to use words like miracles but since the consensus when he was in the hospital a while ago, http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4753036_v9Lqd#314391461_stAdb , was that he should go into a hospice and would likely be dead by now there isn't much else they can say. thank you all who've prayed and hoped! too tired when i got home to process and post so i'm posting now that i finally woke up (two-thirty p.m.). hope y'all are doing great and i look forward to catching up on what i've been missing in your always interesting dps
SmugMug > popular > Other > 4-19-08 Paul and I went to a tiny little carnival tonight that was set up just for the weekend. Cotton candy, miniature ferris wheels, a fun house...the works. My camera of course came along, and this was one of my favorite shots from the evening. Fun ride. Made poor Paul a little sick, but it was a fun ride. ;-) And yes, the tilt of the camera was deliberate. I took one straight and it just didn't appeal to me, it didn't have the right "oomph." So I tried again and liked the tilt much better. It added a dynamic I liked.
SmugMug > popular > Other > blooming white rose 07/21/08 made it out of my apartment today for the first time in a week other than going to the doc...YAY! just went to the grocery for some much needed supplies and took a few snaps along the way. was only out about an hour and a half but even that really took it out of me, by the time i got my groceries and gear (only aboout 25-30 lbs total) up the stairs home i was puffing like a steam engine and shaky on my pins. still not ready and able, vice versa really, for work. am improving quite a bit tho. thanks again for all the well wishes and good thoughts/prayers. this isn't a weed but i figured what the heck ;-)
