No, this isn't a photo-merge, it just looks that way. I found this fountain today by accident and was excited to try out my new 85mm f1.8 lens. I surprised myself by being able to shoot it at 15th of a second (hand held), which for me is like rubbing your belly and patting your head, or is it the other way around?? :-)))

I had some extra time this afternoon and made use of it by doing portraits of my kids. Lainey is my oldest and some of my best portrait work has been with her. She's never met a camera she didn't like. :-)) I'm not sure I'm going to necessarily suggest modeling to her because I know what a hard road that can be, but with her looks and acting skills, I can easily imagine her in a movie career. Who knows.......we'll find out in 15 years or so what the future holds for her.

same place where I did the sun shot . I had to do them with the moon :)

This is a first for me. My first wild owl. When I saw this bird, it was flying off in the distance with a smaller bird harassing it. I thought it might be a Red Tailed Hawk. I made my way over to where it had landed in a tree, and as I got closer, I realized it was a big owl. I'm pretty sure it's a Great Horned Owl.

SmugMug > popular > Photography > February 15th, 2008 - I decided to capture the memory of my lovely Valentine rose from Sam ( my younger son) as a daily. I learned just how hard it is to take a good picture of a flower that really shows some depth and detail. I have a new found respect for nature and flower still life photographers!!! This is my attempt from my 'studio' ( Well, Matt and Jon have studios, don't they?)

This is a shot where you can see what my background is, when in focus. A pillow with a leaf patterned fabric! My studio lighting: a table lamp with the shade off. The rain that Rick commented on: a water sprayer helped with that...Oooh, is it cheating that I did it this way? http://cleantth.smugmug.com/gallery/4044477_ghcHA#254837762
