A rescued shot - original had many problems including noise, underexposure, background, objectionable colors that detracted from the subject. I played around with is so much that I had "lost" too much file information and I was seeing artifacts, "step" looking gradients, and moire types of patterns. Finally I went to a little plug-in that I have from "Fantastic Machines" (called Paint Engine). The effect looks almost like film grain but I actually applied a fine brush stroke to the shot. Kind of a Band-Aid approach to my challenge. I probably should go back to the original Raw/Nef file and start over but I need to get to work - "real" work!
