SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > another beautiful day in colorado and off to another park. have i mentioned just how lucky we are to live here?
i dragged the boys in our radio flyer wagon (with two cute umbrellas to keep them shaded) around the 1.4 mile loop at clement park. then as a reward for their good behavior we went up the hill to the playground. everyone was happy--especially me!
every day here is a gift to me.

Old railroad bridge, Harrisburg, PA

Misty morning after yesterday's rain. Cooler and much more fall-like.

Edit: The Walnut Street Bridge also known as The People's Bridge, is a truss bridge that spans the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Built by the Phoenix Bridge Company in 1890.

The bridge was built to break the toll monopoly enjoyed by the neighboring Camelback Bridge (now the Market Street Bridge). The Walnut Street Bridge was closed to motor vehicles and converted to a pedestrian and bikeway link to City Island after the 1972 Hurricane Agnes flood. The eastern span of the bridge is outlined in lights which, along with the City Island facilities, create a dynamic visual effect at night. The 2,801 foot (854 m) span is one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world. The conversion to pedestrian use gave the bridge a new purpose and it used by over a million visitors, tourists and residents annually. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also recognized as a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

Yesterday was fun "doing time" with fellow daily shooters at the Eastern State Penitentiary.

Here's a gallery of my other shots:

Thanks to Hillary for setting the event up and it was fun meeting everyone.

I haven't been a daily shooter for a number of months (I have been shooting, just not regular enough to call myself a daily). Maybe time to set some new goals!
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > i actually liked this image of myself (one of very few). it was taken a while ago. i added the texture and liked how it turned out.

another sleepless night (it's 2:04 am as i type). lots on my mind.

I was at the Zoo using a new lens [Canon EF 100-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 L IS USM]. A few flowers were around and this particular one had the sun from the rear emphasizing the translucent qualities of the flower. The lens was rather long and the shortened depth of field really put the background out of focus. I think the complementary colors really work well together.

No Swimming . . . . indeed!

Gray, rainy day. The last few days have been gray, moody pictures too. Not really reflective of my mood.
