SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > another beautiful day in colorado and off to another park. have i mentioned just how lucky we are to live here? i dragged the boys in our radio flyer wagon (with two cute umbrellas to keep them shaded) around the 1.4 mile loop at clement park. then as a reward for their good behavior we went up the hill to the playground. everyone was happy--especially me! every day here is a gift to me.
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > 11-17-06 Old railroad bridge, Harrisburg, PA Misty morning after yesterday's rain. Cooler and much more fall-like. Edit: The Walnut Street Bridge also known as The People's Bridge, is a truss bridge that spans the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Built by the Phoenix Bridge Company in 1890. The bridge was built to break the toll monopoly enjoyed by the neighboring Camelback Bridge (now the Market Street Bridge). The Walnut Street Bridge was closed to motor vehicles and converted to a pedestrian and bikeway link to City Island after the 1972 Hurricane Agnes flood. The eastern span of the bridge is outlined in lights which, along with the City Island facilities, create a dynamic visual effect at night. The 2,801 foot (854 m) span is one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world. The conversion to pedestrian use gave the bridge a new purpose and it used by over a million visitors, tourists and residents annually. I haven't been a daily shooter for a number of months (I have been shooting, just not regular enough to call myself a daily). Maybe time to set some new goals!
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > 2008.06.07 (Sat) - Lazy day, Robin worked and I got a few honey doos done around the house. Brandon mowed the yard without being asked to, I checked but he wasn't running a fever so I think he's okay. After Robin got home we thought about going for a bike ride but it was a bit too hot out so we went for a drive instead. We ended up out at Kayla and Chris's, Kayla was cooking (spaghetti) and we stayed for dinner, hung out, played with Peyton, then took off again. After we got back the car was covered in dead bugs, we couldn't believe how many bugs were out. We ran to the carnival we visited last night and I grabbed some shots. I'll post more tomorrow, it's past my bedtime. See you tomorrow, Darron
