SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > 2008.06.07 (Sat) - Lazy day, Robin worked and I got a few honey doos done around the house. Brandon mowed the yard without being asked to, I checked but he wasn't running a fever so I think he's okay.

After Robin got home we thought about going for a bike ride but it was a bit too hot out so we went for a drive instead. We ended up out at Kayla and Chris's, Kayla was cooking (spaghetti) and we stayed for dinner, hung out, played with Peyton, then took off again.

After we got back the car was covered in dead bugs, we couldn't believe how many bugs were out. We ran to the carnival we visited last night and I grabbed some shots. I'll post more tomorrow, it's past my bedtime.

See you tomorrow,

Darron
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > March 25th ----last of this shoot I promise :) this was on our way out of the arboretum, and I saw the light coming down and had to make this shot happen.
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > not my favorite picture of myself but it's the best i could do today. it's not flattering but it is real. like my buddy said about my project on her blog: "I admire Mary Beth's creativity and fearlessness, and her willingness to face and embrace herself exactly as she is.." http://weebleswobblog.blogspot.com/

SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > 2008.07.24 (Fri) - I was bad, I said I would bike in but I drove into work. I don't know how many times I had to tell the Jury Duty story but the other two developers on my team were as tired of hearing it as I was telling it! I ended up working a long day, I brought dinner home for B. (3 guesses what and the 1st two guesses don't count)

After dinner B and I took off with the camera and went to watch the beavers. We sat around for nearly an hour and caught some good shots. There were at least 4 beavers hanging around and eating. A couple of them came as close at 10 feet. We think they are like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park, if you don't move, they can't see you! Heh..

Well, this was one of the better shots that I took. B took a few good ones as well, I'll post 'em later. Robin called at 9:18 to say she was on her way home, she got a little upset that we went and saw the beavers without her. She has the weekend off so we'll take her tomorrow now that we know the secret to beaver spying...

Until tomorrow,

Darron

Ken's landscaping.

Foggy day, very grey. So I have my Nikon with me and plan to shoot some shots in the fog. I take this shot and the camera dies. Lights in the viewfinder but no shutter action. Won't fire another frame. And I'm starting to get worried. Until I look at the battery level meter. Uh, I guess I need to charge the battery once in awhile!!!

So by default, this is my daily photo - but no foggy scene!

SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > 2008.07.11 (Fri) - Another good day at work, went to lunch with my friend Bobby then returned and wrapped up by 4:30 and headed home. On four wheels again so it took me a while to get home. Arrived in time to help assemble the new TV stand and then have dinner before running over to my parents to hang out with them and steal hugs from Peyton. After Kayla arrived to pick up the grandbaby, the four of us (Me, Robin, B, & Bri) headed up to Auburn for their second Friday cruise night. We ran into one the Sierra College photography professors (Rebecca) and had a nice chat before she had to run.

There were so many nice cars out, Brandon & Briana wandered around while Robin and I looked for my daily shot. We got some good photos but this was my favorite.

After grabbing the shot we wandered some more, took in the sounds of live music, grabbed some snacks and then headed back home so Brandon could finish moving all the AV equipment to the new TV stand and finish wiring it all up for us.

Good night,

Darron

ps: here are the rest of the shots from cruise night
SmugMug > popular > Portfolio > we took a ride to the top of mt. evans (north america's highest auto road elevation 14260) to show my friend some gorgeous views. it was fun to see her reaction to the mountains.
it's hard to believe that it took less than two hours from our garage the top of this mountain (including two pitt stops along the way).
i'll post a public gallery on my site later today with even more amazing shots. please check them out.
