We finally have a little bit of snow and of course with it come the cold dreary days, so I did some experimenting with a little in-camera movement and brushed up on my post processing. Have a great Monday!
SmugMug > popular today > HO HO HO....Merry Christmas!!

This little cutie was found by a hunter and brought in to me. I had just finished giving it a bottle, when I looked over and saw the sleigh and I just couldn't resist. I didn't realize when I took the picture that she had her hand on the side like she was holding on and the other one is on the little gift...its almost like she knew what she was doing!!

Sorry for not commenting tonight..will try to catch up as soon as possible! Its gonna be a very busy week and I still have shopping to do!!
SmugMug > popular today > Those Handsome Murray Boys: Larry and his brother Dennis, with our son Chas and Dennis' son Greg. This was taken Saturday night, but since it was after midnight, it was technically taken on the 20th. :-)

Greg got engaged on Saturday, which was exciting news for the family. Welcome to the Murray Clan Emily! (December 20, 2009)

SmugMug > popular today > AM Sky
Captured on my way into work Friday. I saw the clouds and the sky and loved the way the sky looked. I froze taking this shot as it was 28 and I was only wearing a shirt and windbreaker. Crazy yes, but I like the shot. Wind was blowing a gale and I should have had more on. I used alight pole for support on this shot as I had no tripod in the car..

Going to be busy the next few days. I took a bunch of family shots, some melting snow shots, some client shot and others. Plus have a client site to finish tonight. Then presents and others for the rest of Christmas. Glad today is my last day to work for the year!

Who ever said there was free time I want to have a word with :)

Have a great day Folks

I took Shannon to the Boston Pops last night to welcome her home from college. She was all aglow as we strolled through the snowy streets of Beantown to Symphony Hall. Here she is among the poinsettas at the Prudential Building.

Scary for me to try shots like this. Night photography is definitely not my strong point. This was just a pretty house in the neighborhood and last night I thought I would at least attempt to do a Christmas shot for the Dailies.

Here are some of the pictures from our yearly kids' Christmas party. It just wouldn't be Christmas for me without spending this special time with the kids.

Everyone arrived around 1PM. Since it was Sunday and CFA was closed, we had cheese pizza instead of nuggets plus the usual other chips and dips. I had 4 crafts for the kids, and they made some of their own crafts too.

While the pizza finished, Joey suggested that the kids draw, so I got out some computer paper. Our first planned craft was a Christmas tree. The kids stuck ornaments on wire into a foam tree and then put a star on top and some wire garland around the outside. That was probably the cutest and favorite craft of the day. We all particularly loved how Eli set up to entirely fill his tree. We gave him all the extra ornaments so he could keep going.

Then, we made these rice/glue/food color wreaths. I think the kids enjoyed that as well. Bascially stir and make into a donut shape and then put on some berries made out of red hole punch circles. I had gloves out so the kids wouldn't end up with green hands, and they proceeded to make glove balloons. An unplanned and super cute addition ot the party. They were very creative with it.

Next up was painting. I asked for a tree or some other Christmas themed picture. I got several trees and quite a few snowman. Donna and Jonathan worked together and came up with a really nice red and green piece. Johnny kept going putting 4 trees across on his paper...his own little forest.

Finally, it was time to decorate glass ornaments. Most of the kids put glue and glitter inside and shook but some of them put in garland and various sequins.

We also read books, played bingo, and did made our famous batch of painted sugar cookies.

I'll be loading the rest of the pics on Smug soon. For now they are on Picasa here:

Nor'Easter

Compared to the folks south of us, we got off pretty easy with this storm. Hard to tell the official total of snow, but I am guessing in my neck of the woods about 10 inches. Thankfully the storm wrapped up mid afternoon and then we were off to the mall to finish up the Christmas shopping.
