SmugMug > popular today > my (dusty) lucky bamboo 05/09/08 couldn't get out today because of continued allergies tho i was happy for everyone else who enjoyed the warm sunny spring day. i tried an indoor shot but hadn't the enrgy to get out and set up the tripod so its not as good as i'd like focuswise but other than that i'm reasonably happy with it
SmugMug > popular today > We had severe weather this afternoon and tornado sirens were getting a workout. After the rain and storms passed, I went out to shoot a few pictures before sundown. I am trying to keep my streak of not having to shoot indoors intact. There is nothing fancy or complicated about this shot.

SmugMug > popular today > Thursady 8th May 2008 ~ I actually took this Friday the 9th BUT I wanted to catch up speaking of which I am TRYING REALLY HARD to catch up with your gallerys BUT you won't even believe me if I tell you ....Cos I nearly can't believe it myself - Daniel Has FLU AGAIN HOW? IS THIS POSSIBLE? obviously it is cos it has happened Rail's foster kids are sick to BUT they have his gastro from last time I THINK it is because it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO COLD here at the moment I DREAD to think of what Winter is going to be like if Autumn is this cold its LOVELY thru the day its just the mornings and nights (only 2/3rds of the time then) that are FREEZING and because Daniel is crawling and always on the floor and we have hard floors which are very cold I think he gets a chill or maybe his immunity is just crap (Can I say that SORRY if I can't I don't want to offend anyone) anyway 6weeks of sick baby is starting to wear me but THANK YOU all for being so patient and supportive of Me and my photos BIG SQUEEZY HUGS FOR U ALL :)
SmugMug > popular today > Post 157 - 5/8/08 Evening settles in on Lake Afton in Yardley, PA I pass this lovely little lake every day when I drive to work. I have taken shots a number of times, but the colors of the blossoms and the feel of the beauty alway escapes my lense. Tonight I temped in my own office for another hygienist and was there later than on my own work days. The lights on the trees were so pretty I thought I would give it another try. I haven't really taken too many night shots so enjoyed trying some different settings to see what I would get. I rested the G9 on a bench and used the self timer so there wouldn't be any shake o motion from me. This was straight out of the camera except for the horizontal crop. I am finally pleased with a shot of Lake Afton!
SmugMug > popular today > 2008-05-08 (Day 6) This morning I donated blood and instead of donating whole blood I did a doble red blood cell donation. What that means is they hook you up to an Alyx machine and it takes your blood, separates the red blood cells and returns the plasm back to your body. The needle is smaller but the donation takes a little longer. You also need to wait twice as long before you can donate blood again. All day I've been exhausted. I don't know if it was from giving blood or from my constant lack of sleep. Whatever the cause I've been ready for a nap since about 1PM this afternoon.
