SmugMug > popular today > last rose? 10/07/08 despite the buds i suspect this will be the last nice rose on the bush by my apartment as the weather is getting cooler and stormier (i love it!). this is the only bloom and buds on the whole bush tho another branch (vine?) has put out a beautiful new shoot of leaves (click link to see). many plants seem to be confused this year with some branches acting like its spring and others already past fall and shutting down for winter. i quite enjoy takinhg a close look at things as i travel around the city and wondering what's up. hope your week is going well http://dedmanshootn.smugmug.com/gallery/4434686_au3Uh#388682392_LyAbr
SmugMug > popular today > Oct 6: Blazing colors I went for my walk yesterday and I saw a few items of interest to photograph. i decided to be different and carry the macro for a different perspective. I was caught in some precarious positions yesterday by folks. This shot I spotted walking around a corner. I really liked what the sunlight did in backlighting this shot. It was however a bit difficult to get as the wind was blowing and I had to raise the ISO to even capture the shot. I was leaning against one of the 6" cannons in front of the museum to capture this shot to get a stable platform. The 6" are small and mounted on concrete platforms next to this tree. I had 1 leg on the platform the other on the ground :) Here is my alt shot of the day spider Enjoy and have a good day

I, along with our troupe will be performing in Las Vegas this upcoming weekend. We will be at the Renaissance Faire there.
SmugMug > popular today > October 7,2008 Finally we got some rain. The first rain we have gotten in close to a month - the first significant rain we have had in even longer. We were planning on going to the state fair yesterday, but had to change plans because of the weather - so we are going today. I am planning on taking a lot of photos. Have a great day everyone.
SmugMug > popular today > October 5, 2008 (morning) We spent a night in the famous Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. What a great town! I loved it more than I expected to. The tackines is, of course, way over the top but it is just so much fun. Don't fight it! We had dinner downtown, drove out to Morro Rock just in time to see the hill disappear into the night, and then enjoyed drinks at the Silver Bar. I actually miss the place now.
