Urech daily posts of pianos) & (thanks for logo suggestions on yesterdays post, I am working with the idea) The Pioneer Flour Mill was founded in 1851 by Carl H. Guenther. I recommend lunch here at the Guenther house in San Antonio, very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is on the ground floor with display rooms and shops upstairs. From The Guenther House website- Carl H. Guenther first built his San Antonio home, now known as The Guenther House®, for his growing family when they moved from Fredericksburg, Texas, in 1859. Over the next 127 years, the house served as, respectively, the family home, a test kitchen, administrative offices and a storage facility. Then, in 1986, with traditional family pride and dedication, the Guenther family and the family-owned C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. began to restore the home to its former glory. From King William Association website: KING WILLIAM NATIONAL HISTORIC DISTRICT The King William area was originally farmland, irrigated by acequias flowing from the San Antonio River, owned by the 1718 Mission San Antonio de Valero. By the beginning of the 19th century, the missions were fully secularized, and the land belonging to Mission Concepcion was bought, sold, and divided into tracts by land speculators, beginning in the 1840s. One of the earliest to settle was Carl Guenther, a German immigrant who built Pioneer Flour Mills on the lower bend of the San Antonio River. A number of other successful and influential German immigrants discovered the area and began building mansions, using Greek Revival, Victorian, and Italianate architectural styles. Ernst Altgelt, the first to build on current-day King William Street, is credited with naming his street after King Wilhelm I of Prussia. When neighborhoods to the north began drawing King William residents away in the 1920s, many of the grand mansions were turned into apartments and the district fell into decline. But in the 1960s, creative young professionals rediscovered King William and began a renaissance, which continues to this day. The district was expanded in 1984 to include a more eclectic neighborhood of cottages south of Alamo Street.

A return visit to Cafe Rouge and it's true, this image is truly representative of my new moodimism, a noir, interspersed with vivid colour, light, motion, blurr, innuendo, darkness and mystery. Moodimism the concept is ofcourse inherrent, deep, laying within my soul but as with much of my photography, inspired by J, who was able to reach within me and retrieve, rekindle, my artistic spirit.
