And anyway, I find playing with images like this very relaxing. I hope that people can read different things into this, it isn't up to me to prescribe what anyone should see in it. To give some context; this is a new bridge over the river to the University. The building is a massive old warehouse, a famous landmark in town that was derelict for many years until the Uni was developed. I love the way the architect added some very modern touches to the building, breathing new life into it, while retaining most of it's old character. The lights in the stair well are in stripes, and slowly change colour and pattern, they are really very atmospheric. I hope to capture them better one day. I love the lamp, the swans on the river, the shadows, I just love walking round here, especially at this time of day......

Dolly went easy on Houston. We got a lot of rain...but it's good for us! Thank you so much for asking. I wished I knew who took this baby's shot so I could give him/her a credit.

SmugMug > popular today > July 25, 2008 - Shirl A fly atop some Queen Anne's lace. There was a gentle breeze stirring as I tried to shoot. I managed to get the flower in good focus but not the fly. Oh well...I prefer the wildflower over the fly anyway :)
