SmugMug > popular today > 05-01-2010 "Mañana es Día de Reyes" - Si, mañana es el Día de los Reyes Magos que, como seguramente sabéis, es el día en que en España se intercambian los regalos y es el final de las fiestas Navideñas. Más información sobre costumbres y tradiciones del Día de Reyes en diferentes países, AQUI. Estas figuras de los Reyes las compramos en Aracena (Huelva) hace muchísimos años y, desde entonces, las tenemos en la ventana del comedor. La figura más alta tiene 27 cm. "Tomorrow is Three Kings Day" - Yes, tomorrow is the The Day of the Kings which, as you may know, is when we exchange gifts in Spain and marks the end of the Holiday Season. We purchased these figures pf the Kings in Aracena (Huelva - Spain) many many years ago and, since then, they have been sitting in our dining room window. The tallest figure is 27 cm high.

It was sculpted by Gérard Richier in the late 16th century in the memory of Blaise Lescuyer. Bas-relief dit "de la résurrection" à la mémoire de Blaise Lescuyer, lieutenant général du baillage de Saint Mihiel et conseiller du Duc de Lorraine. Allégories de la Foi et de la Charité dont la sculpture est attribuée à Gérard Richier (fin du XVIe siècle)

Apples contain Vitamin C, which aids the immune system and phenols, which reduce cholesterol. They reduce tooth decay by cleaning one's teeth and killing off bacteria. It has also been suggested by Cornell University researchers that the quercetin found in apples protects brain cells against neuro-degenerative disorders like Alzheimer's Disease!
