March 2019 Release Notes
Happy April everyone! My apologies on being slightly late with our monthly release notes; I just returned from an amazing week-long trip to the Lofoten Islands in Norway. I was a landscape photographer long before coming to work at SmugMug, so it was fun to get out into nature with my camera (and play with some new toys too).
Customers looking to give SmugMug a try can now signup for a free 14 day trial within our iOS app.
New customers interested in selling photos will have their first price list automatically created for them, with products and prices selected to help them get started selling successfully.
When sharing images, you can now get links to the largest sizes: X4, X5, 4k and 5k.
iOS customers with a new 12" or 11" iPad Pro will now have proper support, with the app filling the entire screen.
Galleries that were set to Unlisted or lived in Unlisted Folders now show all the metadata for the photo.
The behind-the-scenes magic that allows you and your visitors to leave comments on your photos got a little bit of love.
The Share Panel also got some love in a similar fashion.
Event Favoriting was added to the latest version of API.
A little bit of design love: we’ve updated how some scrollbars look throughout the site.
When creating a new gallery or updating an existing one, we now correctly show you a preview of the URL.
Fixed a bug for customers that was preventing trials that had expired and hadn’t completed the initial setup from using SmugMug.
For the rare customers that had no photos in their account and couldn’t login, you can now successfully get into SmugMug!
We’ve got some big things that we’re hoping to wrap up in April and May; things for everyone, and some big things for our Professional customers. Stay tuned!
