What’s the deal?

*If you are a new subscriber and you purchase an annual SmugMug Pro plan on SmugMug.com between 01/1/23 and 01/31/23, and you make over $500 in profit from selling prints and gifts on SmugMug during the first year, we will deposit the fees you paid for your subscription to your payment account (excluding taxes). This promotion does not apply to gift subscriptions.

Do I still get a free trial?

YES, you have 14 days risk-free to get to know SmugMug before you pick a plan. However, to qualify for this promotion you’ll need to pick and pay for your Pro plan before 11:59 pm PST on 01/31/2023.

What if I make sales during
my trial?

They count! This promotion starts the day you sign up for your trial, and all sales made during your trial will count toward your total profit.

When do I get my free subscription?

Once you make $500 in profits, we will pay the full amount of your Pro subscription fee back to the account you have on file.

Why is SmugMug offering this promotion?

Can I upgrade my account to take advantage of this promotion?

Not this time around. This promotion is only available for new SmugMug subscribers.

I’m not in the US. Will I be paid in my currency?

Yes. SmugMug defaults new accounts to USD, but you can choose another currency when you fill out your Tax & Payment Info in Account Settings.

How is profit calculated on SmugMug?

Your profit is calculated as 85% of your markup—the difference between the price you set and SmugMug's default print or download prices. The 15% SmugMug retains includes credit card payment fees, customer service, and the costs of running our platform.

For example: You sell a 5x7 for $10.79 and the SmugMug default price for it is $0.79. The markup is $10.00. You keep $8.50 as profit (85% of $10).
